Shocking new footage has surfaced showing a Louisiana middle school teacher being roughed up and arrested after simply standing up and voicing her opinion at a school board meeting.
“What is happening!?!” They were the shrill cries of Deyshia Hargrave as handcuffs were snapped onto her wrists, “You recently PUSHED ME TO THE FLOOR!”
The disturbing viral video, that is certainly now sparking unanimous outrage, was filmed throughout a meeting between school board members and teachers—the same teachers who, as Deyshia stood up and described,?have endured growing class sizes despite the presence of to “work quite difficult with hardly any to keep the salaries we have.”
“As I’ve been teaching during the last year or two,” she added in the impassioned speech to board members who were gonna vote to enhance the superintendent’s pay, “I’ve seen class sizes grow enormously.”

“We’re working,” she continued, “students do the work—at the very top, that’s not where kids learn. It’s during the classroom. And others teachers, like myself, usually are not buying a dime from that, that is unspeakable.”
And no point can Deyshia be heard raising her voice or acting disruptively—but when faculty members’ pay increases are at stake, simply voicing dissent is enough to warrant retaliation.
She continued, this period directly addressing the superintendent, “how\’s it going about to go on a raise?…And now we have never gotten raises. How are you going to take that money, which is basically taking against each other from the pockets of teachers.”
Suddenly, anyone from the board pounded his gavel, saying, “Stop right now” and claimed her question weren\’t relevant.
The arrest was really a disgrace. The teacher was speaking calmly, never raising her voice, also, since she dared to question the superintendents pay raise, she ultimately was arrested. This is intimidation from the school board! #QuestionEverything

Deyshia rephrased her words. “My business is saying how are things using the raise when you find yourself basically taking from your teachers and employees under you. When we have class sizes that happen to be that big. This directly speaks to anything you have just voted on.”
Soon afterwards, the marshal begun to approach her—men significantly in excess of her—and informed her she needed to sit down or leave.
The marshal then efforts to grab her, at which she says, “Sir, will not.”
Finally, Deyshia decides to depart the surrounding on her own accord, after which the marshal follows her out, until a few minutes later commotion is heard outside.
The person holding the digital camera quickly follows, realise Deyshia on a lawn shouting although marshal snaps cuffs on her wrists.
“Stop resisting!” he shouts.
“I am not saying,” retorts Deyshia, “you merely pushed me for the floor. I will be way smaller than you!”

Eventually put into the rear of a patrol car, the helpless school teacher from Rene A. Rost Junior high school in Vermilion Parish was originally arrested for “remaining where forbidden and resisting a security officer.”
However, the fees were later dropped after being reviewed by Abbeville city attorney and prosecutor, Ike Funderburk, who declared,?I have been to many hundreds of school board meetings so i saw nothing from her conduct that had been totally different from the others I have seen. I concluded there wasn\’t any criminal activity to be with her part.
As of now, local police and authorities have refused to give comments, though they may wish to move quickly as dissent online will continue to pile up:
Jerome Puyau, the Vermillion Parish Superintendent of colleges, for anyone who is perusing this,I demand your resignation as superintendent to have a school teacher charged with calling out there corruption. You\’re a disgrace on the state of Louisiana.
